  • Support, prefer original. MER-C 18:13, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support I usually use feather detail as a good guide to bird photos, and it looks great here. Don't love the blurred foreground (I'd have cropped a bit at the bottom, maybe right as well to centre it a little more while still allowing for the fact it's facing that way), but that may just be me. • Support – I agree with Adam about the blurred foreground, which I find a little distracting. Otherwise very nice. Choliamb (talk) 22:43, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. I added a cropped version on the side. (feel free to adjust it) I prefer that one. — PerfectSoundWhatever (t; c) 04:21, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@PerfectSoundWhatever: Do you support both or just the cropped one? Armbrust The Homunculus 13:48, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support -- The cropped image is much better. Nythar (💬-🎃) 06:48, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • JJ Harrison is active (semi-active) on en-Wiki and he put the image in the article. If he approves the crop, then I am Ok with it, otherwise I can't support it. I remember him saying the blurring in his photos is intentional (i.e. artistic choice). He lies on the ground to isolate the bird within the DOF, both in foreground and background, plus it gives an eye level view. Bammesk (talk) 15:22, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support original per above. Might support a crop, but the alt. here is too tightly cropped below the feet. Twice the space would be OK. --Janke | Talk 09:08, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Adam Cuerden, Choliamb, and Nythar: Could you clarify which version(s) you support? Regards, Armbrust The Homunculus 13:50, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think I prefer the original to the crop provided. Adam Cuerden (talk)Has about 8.2% of all FPs. Currently celebrating his 600th FP! 14:04, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'll support the original one as well, since the cropped image doesn't seem to be very popular. — Nythar (💬-🎃) 20:41, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Like Janke, I think the alternative image offered here is cropped too tightly. Ideally, I'd like to see about half as much taken off the bottom of the original image. But it's not worth splitting hairs at this point. Support the original. Choliamb (talk) 21:33, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
